Transformation of a Family Farm

When Earthtone was brought on to execute the construction of this Sonoma Valley Estate, it was a run down, overgrown farm. What is now the main home were three separate structures from the 1940s which had been moved and joined together over time. The project was phased in such a way that the clients could live in the remodeled main house before building the remainder of the estate in order to better understand how the use of the land would fit their lifestyle. The basis of the design stems from the clients’ annual visits to Paris, where they love to find vintage treasures at flea markets and feature them throughout the home and estate. After three years of development, the clients have the home they’ve always dreamed of; one where they can grow veggies, raise chickens, and unwind from their busy city life.
